There was a seashore treasure hunt, a goldfish estimation challenge, a race to light the lighthouse, and much more as Franklin Elementary School held its well-loved Math Night on March 4. This year’s theme of the annual event – held virtually this year – was “Math: It’s a Shore Thing.” Students, staff, and families were invited to have fun with problem-solving games to practice addition, subtraction, decimals, fractions, Venn diagrams and other grade-appropriate activities.
Families thanked Franklin teacher Nancy Rygiel and other staff members for spearheading the well-attended event. “Math game night has been so much fun! Thank you so much for organizing this wonderful family event!,” wrote one family, as they posted pictures to a virtual bulletin board. “Thank you so much to all the Franklin teachers and staff for such a fun night! We had a great time!,” wrote another.
