In June, Assistant Superintendent Paul Pineiro visited China as part of a Kean University program that pairs elementary, middle and high schools in the Garden State with counterparts in Zheijiang Province for a partnership that focuses on science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) innovation and development.

At its October 15, 2019 meeting, the Westfield Board of Education approved the appointment of Sean McArthur as Supervisor of Buildings and Grounds for the Westfield Public School District, effective January 1, 2020. McArthur succeeds Michael Morris who will retire on December 31 after 25 years of service.
